Funding our project

The Melbourne Volunteer Mask Project is non-profit and volunteer run. It relies solely on the good will and efforts of volunteer sewers, cutters and coordinators -all who are willing to work tirelessly to provide protective masks, free of charge, for those in need during this COVID-19 crisis.

Whilst the Halyard material is sourced for free from hospitals (though as we run out, we may need to purchase some), clinics, day surgeries etc., there

are other material and sewing machine wear costs involved in the production process.

If you are receiving our masks, you may want to consider making a donation to help cover these out of pocket expenses.  These donations are by no means mandatory, but they will assist in supporting our project, so that we can continue our valuable work.

All donations, whether you require masks or not, will be gratefully received, and used to cover the costs of production and increase efficiency and volume of masks we can produce and distribute.
